The Way to Work Transportation Center is a new resource providing employment transportation information for northern RI. The project seeks to expand the availability of employment transportation options and assist individuals with identifying and meeting their short and long-term employment transportation needs. Way to Work Events & Program News:
A new Pilot Evening Hour Shuttle Service has started in Woonsocket. The program helps individuals with their employment transportation needs at times when public bus service is not available. The Way to Work Shuttle is administered by FRCA in collaboration with Valley Transportation Corp. For more information, call 401-235-6061 or email WaytoWork@famresri.org. Way to Work’s First Annual Transportation Fair was held on May 20th. Between 120 - 150 people stopped by for information on employment transportation including bicycle commuting and RIPTA services and to see the unveiling of the art bike racks that will soon be installed throughout Woonsocket. Thanks to all the participating organizations, workshop presenters and volunteers who helped make this a great community event. View list. As a part of transMISSIONs, the Good News Garage Vehicle Donation Alliance, FRCA is accepting car donations. Cars deemed to be in condition to be awarded to low-income families will be repaired and donated to families by Good News Garage. Proceeds from all donations support initiatives to assist individuals and families in need. Car Donation Form.
