FRCA Client, Staff and Program News:
Employment & Training participants find success in the job market, area youth help lead the development of a new community garden, the community comes together to help the homeless, staff are honored for their commitment to the community. These are just some of the FRCA stories that have been highlighted recently about our many programs that help strengthen individuals, families and the community.
A new evening shift transportation service is coming to Woonsocket. The Way to Work Shuttle will provide evening hour transportation Mondays through Fridays from Diamond Hill area businesses when public bus service is not available. The pilot program is administered by Family Resources Community Action in collaboration with Valley Transportation Corp. with funding from the Federal Transit Authority JARC (Job Access and Reverse Commute) program and The Rhode Island Foundation. The statewide EITC/VITA Program Kicked off on January 29th at the Museum of Work & Culture in Woonsocket.
